Chute

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 9, 2026

These terms cover your use of Chute, a macOS app for capturing and routing notes, tasks, and events. By installing or using Chute, you agree to them.

Beta software

Chute is currently in active development and is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, break, or be removed, and things may not always work as expected. Please keep your own backups of anything important.

Your accounts and content

You are responsible for the accounts you connect (such as Google, Slack, Discord, and Notion) and for the content you capture and route through Chute. Only connect accounts you are authorized to use, and use Chute in line with each connected service's own terms.

Acceptable use

No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chute is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that captures will always sync correctly.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chute and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms as Chute evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
